Artist description
Call it zeitgeist or the spirit of the times. A millennium where some are in awe of the technology revolution, while others are convinced the end is near. DOUBLE O provides the soundtrack to what only can be described as THE NATIONAL NERVOUS BREAKDOWN. A condition they put to music with all the intensity of a runaway train, and the subtlety of a ticking clock. Make no mistake, DOUBLE O mesmerizes the listener. Whether it's the paranoia of DOMINIQUE, as they pose," can you feel it? can you hear it?" or pondering old age and lonliness as they hauntingly chant "think they'll care for you?" DOUBLE O captures all of our emotions. Need to get away? The rhythmic mockery of LYING IN THE SUN, explodes with reverie, consolation, and a longing for greener pastures in a world Chinese sages have described as death from a thousand paper cuts. And if disillusionment, coupled with a bellyfull of propaganda are holding you down, DOUBLE O rebels ride down on white horses and drawn swords to conquer the feckless phonies of the world. PAPER TIGERS "making life miserable. Paper Tigers, are so invisible." The music is backed by wailing leads, piercing sound, and a vocal track that sums it up with the words: "Think you'll solve the problems of the world with a book, well you better take another look." Finally, THE BLUFFER, gives voice to those connivers and fools that you've always wanted to tell off, but somehow never do. You know the one's that you've always wanted to tell off, but somehow never do. You know, the one's that always end up in your work or school. Strangely, THE BLUFFER is an upbeat tune, - even humorous. As DOUBLE O harmonizes the line, "He's shuffling now as we talk, the message is unmistakable. One bad apple is all it takes. |
