His hauntingly beautiful pieces spring from his fingers the moment they touch the keys, from where nobody knows, but they grace the keys and beautiful music follows. Following the same school of improvisiation, I honestly was quite amazed that anyone else could be such a man posessed at the keys, but Adam Zampino's suitably titled "Ode To Jarrett" stunned me into silence. This piece is suitably similar to Jarrett's work to tastefully pay homage, while still breaking some ground of its own, particularly in some of the more abstract moments.
