Artist History Scavenger was started in 1985 in a club called Larry's Hideaway. There have been many members that have passed through our band over the years. Some of the players have gone on to form their own bands, or have gone to being full-time parents, whatever the case you can alway's find all members past & present together at every Scavenger Reuion held every year on April the 25 at one of our fine Toronto venues! This is when all 32 members get together for the biggest jam of the year! It is alway's an open event, so anyone may join in on the fun!! Scavenger has continued to play the night time Toronto circuit hosting many jams such as current ones ****EVERY MONDAY NIGHT! @ Crossroads (1544 Danforth @ Coxwell) FULL-TIME!And every Thursday Nite at Jonathans at#52 St. Clair East @ Yonge Street. Scavenger Productions also hosts many shows including the recent Bobstock 96! to mention a few. You can find the complete Scavenger line-up listings in the Eye & the Now magazines. We are currently a booking co. in booking bands throughout various clubs! We like to network with as many musicians as we can, it makes for a better working community! Group Members DONN WOODS--LEAD VOCALS--BASSCo-founding member of Canada's top international Rock & Roll group HONEYMOON SUITE. Donn played his self-styled innovative bass & provided lead vocals for this band & others of prominance such as: Robbie Rox, Anvil, Fronte st., Curtis Lee, Kelly J & Bad Manors both live and in the studio. Scavenger, Donn's pet project, has been ongoing for 12 years now. The band reached acclaim 9 years ago after signing a record deal with Toronto & New York bases Sunset Records. A video of Scavenger was syndicated 6 years ago for play on Rogers Cable and affiliated channels in Ontario. Prior to emigrating to Canada, Donn based the Atlantic Records recording act Storm, out of Miami FL. Storm toured with major recording acts such as: Johnny Winter, Rod Stewart, Iron Butterfly, Steppingwolf, Grand Funk R & R, Canned Heat, Janis Joplin, Bob Seagar, Edgar Winter...etc... Nine years ago Donn was co-owner of Sunset Records and acted as head of A & R and general manager. He booked & managed the touring bands. Donn also under Mega Productions, produced a twelve band compilation album that was released in the fall of 1987. He also produced/played & Promoted 14 benefit concerts for several needy childrens foundations from 1991-1996. Donn has also produced & Promoted several large indoor/outdoor venues with big name acts as: Larry Gowan, Goddo, Allen Williams, Cynthia Lennon, Pete Best, Matt Minglewood, Liberty Silver ect.. NORRAH WALLACHY--KEYBOARDS--VOCALSWell here I am! not only do I build our websight but I am also the keyboard player for Scavenger! I went to Newtonbrook School between 85-90, that's where I first learned keyboards. I didn't think i was ever going to be in a band,so I used this course to skip off! Who would'ov guessed eh? I've had experience as a booker, show/producer with the many benefit concerts Donn & I have put on together from 91-96. Some of the more famous musicians I have jammed with include of course Gino Scarpelli of Goddo(who's also one of our guitarists now!) Steve Madden of Reckless, Phil X of Triumph, Robbie Rox, Liberty Silver.ect.. I am currently playing the night time toronto circuit with our current line-up. As you will'ov noticed by now spelling is deffinately not one of my strong points, when you find mistakes feel free to e-mail me the corrections,it would be greatly appreciated! Some say I have the Jerry Lee Lewis influence in my playing style, mixed in with deep purple & Nicky Hopkins. All I do is just try to have fun! Because to me that's what really counts! We find it refreshing to rotate our front people to give you , the audience a different show every time! Most of our special guests our well known names from bands you,ve heard of before!
