Artist History
I learn to play a few cords on the guitar back in 1953, my dad showed me how. In 1957 my teacher would have me play for her 7th grade class. My classmates would request "Blue Swede Shoes" and "Long Tall Sally" ect. Back in those day if you held a guitar in your hand, kids would holler "Elvis" in a joking kind of way ... They knew that use to embarrass me ... at the time. I've always played the guitar over the years as an outlet for emotions. In 1963 I belonged to a group called the "Destiny's" in the San Jose Ca. area. One day I found myself awe struck by a style of guitar playing, my dad use to love to hear me play in that style he would say; "why don't you pick up the guitar and play me some of that Chet Atkins stuff." My Dad always was my greatest fan and musical support. I sure do miss him. |
