Artist History
Elsinore began, in November of 1996, as a gathering of friends who had attended Michigan Tech University and had now found themselves all residing in the vicinity of Ann Arbor, MI. With the addition of a co-worker and a roomate, a six member band was created and their first practice produced the song "When Angels Fall". After building up the set list with cover tunes ranging from Peter Gabriel to Paul Simon, Elsinore wrote another original "Who I Am" in an hour and a half. Original songs started pouring in after that. After a few lineup changes (Drums and Guitar), the band went into the studio in May of 1998 to record a 7-song demo of their orignals. Elsinore began playing out in the clubs after the release of the CD, playing such venues as The I-rock and The Blind Pig, and also creating and headlining the annual SUMMERFEST music showcases held in Ann Arbor. |
