Press Reviews
In reference to the song "Life": Do you know the Gin Blossoms? We do. We went to school with them. We watched them get big. We watched them wane. we still like the people in the band, but the music left us unsatisfied. Drawing on Eve have filled that gap. Beautiful swallows of acoustic guitar suspend a high timbered vocal, automatically announcing the sole intention of this track: to soothe you. But they break away from the Gin Blossoms in the respect that they are not afraid to dig their hands in the shit and get dirty. The guitar solos are egyptian minor the modal runs, which is very obscure, yet it has flow. The break in the middle of the track blows the Gin Blossoms out of the water, it's over. Funky breaking trundles of jive, unmistakingly well thought out and executed. A real talented quartet if we've ever seen one. -Itegrated Arts |
