Artist History d.O.b.’s musical style is the product of two artists’ separate but similarly inspired upbringings in an age when the traditional boundaries between musical genres began to blur and eventually dissolve. At least, for them it did. d.O.b.’s music is heavily influenced by hip-hop, but the prevalence of genres spanning from jazz and blues to motown and alternative is notable. In addition to their common musical interests they discovered they were both born on the same day, July 6th. For this reason, they decided to name their musical endeavor d.O.b. (Date of Birth).
