Artist description With two R&B Juno Nominations, a successful debut album and at last count, 4 National Top 40 Radio Hits, 3 National Top 20 Dance Hits and a Top 10 Single with ‘Tell Me You Love Me’ to her credit, Carol Medina represents the on-going trend of powerful Canadian talent filling the airwaves.Born in Australia, of Croatian descent and currently calling Toronto home, Carol released her debut album “Secret Fantasy” in 1995 under the production genius of Greg Kavanagh and Brad Daymond. The album features the songwriting talents of James Collins and has established Collins as one of the top songwriters in Canada. The album, released on the now defunct Quality Music, contained eight original tracks and three cover songs, including an amazing version of Captain & Tenille’s ‘You’ve Never Done It Like That”. For Carol’s MP3 album, they’ve replaced the cover tracks with two new original tracks and included five additional remixes by such talents as the Boomtang Boys, CAP Sounds, and Rip Rock N’Dash. Romance abounds in the duet on ‘Wait ‘Til My Heart Finds Out’ with Billy Newton-Davis.Her versatility ranges from Pop (‘And The Song Goes’), to high energy dance (‘Tell Me You Love Me’), to R&B (‘I Had A Dream’) to classic AC/MOR (‘I’ll Just Say Goodnight’) but all fitting nicely into the pop genre. With a vocal range the transverses between gritty and raw to sweet and sexy in a heartbeat, this album is a unique collection of ballads and scorching dance tracks.
