Artist History
Angelo comes from a family with a long tradition of music. His father was a Spanish diplomat (and also a semi-professional trombonist) who worked extensively in Brazil, where he met and married a Brazilian concert pianist. When Angelo was ten, his parents sent him to Germany to study at the Leipzig Academy of Music. At the age of twenty, he returned to Brazil to discover that he could no longer speak Portuguese, and his Spanish was dreadful.Angelo now lives in Surrey, England. |

Press Reviews
Although a gifted composer and arranger in his own right, Angelo Campo has chosen to blend the music of the little-known British band Angelfield with the happy Bossa rhythms of his native Brazil. Directing 'Horsley 99' (a group of musicians, hand-picked by Angelo himself), Campo has produced one of the boldest and most innovative albums this year. If the 'buzz' surrounding Angelfield is anything to go by, then this album is surely destined to become the sound of the millennium. |
