    Artist description
Usually I'm a solo recording artist, doing opera with synthesizers, but now I'm recording duets with a soprano half way around the world via the web. The Tosca Duet is an HISTORIC FIRST! The soprano was in Italy and I was in LA when this project was done. Only the magic of the web could make it possible. I'm also doing concerts in the LA area. Please E-mail if you would like to attend.

George Everett, a tenor's son, was a back stage brat, who can remember Callas tussling his hair between coaching sessions at La Scala. He was actually more into rock than classical early on, but his voice just kept growing till he didn't need a mike to sing over his amps. His CD entitled Impersonating Opera is a solo album, arranged, translated, performed and recorded at home by George Everett. He is singing in English and we can understand him, a rare happening. The music has been arranged for Electric guitar. The translation is excellent. The guitar arrangements are well done, of course you will have to get use to it because you will have never heard the music interpreted that way. The voice is strong, clear, powerful and has the high C in his range. He can sing and interpret the music. The microphone, the pernicious love for small voice, multi media performances, subtitles have killed Opera. If you want to hear a real voice, do not mind electrical guitar, I can recommend the CD .
