Artist History UFO SYSTEMS (aka David White) has been touching crowds with his "Euro / Progressive" sound now for about 6 years. Born out of the mid- west underground, he's been compared to the likes of: Astral Matrix, Skylab 2000, and Freaky Chakra.A musician since the age of 13, David didn't actually get behind the keys of a keyboard until the age of 20. He got his first taste of electronic music going to industrial clubs in Dallas, TX back in 1991. Listening to bands like Depeche Mode, Front 242, Lords of Acid, and Moby. Now you can find him on most weekends blowing up dance floors across the United States, exposing crowds to his emotional soundscapes and hypnotic rhythms. His style is a combination of all his favorite influences: progressive trance, progressive house, epic, techno, goa, acid trance, and ambient, with a sort of uplifting twist. Ever since he can remember he says there was a sound in his head, and that sound was the music he is making today. He believes that music should take you somewhere, on a journey, whether it be mentally or emotionally. Which is what he strives for in each of his tracks. Though he says, "My live sets are a longer rendition of the journey I want people to experience." Unlike a lot of other live pa's and producers, David relies solely on the use of older, classic styled analogue synthesizers and equipment, instead of a computer to achieve his sound. His 100% live performances have left many crowds speechless and begging for more. Previously a member of the San Francisco based label "Urbanloops Records", David is now combining efforts with live pa / producer "Lunar Eclipse" to form the label "Earth Island Recordings". Look for both CD and vinyl releases from them in 2002.
