    Artist description
We are a group of losers who got together through Jason Advantage our bass player. Who was coming out of the band Number Six, (a blink 182 style punk band) Jason wanted a diffrent style of music, besides just pop punk. So we created The Kamikaze Kids, a surf, pop, fun loving band. We hope to even put a little emo' into our work. Tony Presley is now on drums, he comes from his own solo project Zero Effect. While me (Mike) have never been in any other project, but I have played the guitar close to five years. It's just fun, and you can hear that in our music.

    Artist History
The story of The Kamikaze Kids has to start with the formation of the punk band Number Six (blink182, sorta style). Number Six in the beginning only consisted of three members: Jason Reichl (bass/songwriter), Tony Salzar (vocals, songwriter), James Peirce (guitar, songwriter). With the split up of 77f (well the drumer just left) Number Six found their drummer in the form of Jimmy Keaton. Jimmy in his mid 30's brought the structure to the band. While Jason loved the band, and they loved him. He couldn't keep up with the fast progression that took place. In a mutal aggrement Jason left Number Six, and his friends.Though it seemed like Jason was done for, Jason being the fat basterd (joke) that he is went and began to learn the actual art of playing the bass. He was tierd of just playing, he wanted to know. After many weeks of practing, and playing with firends...Jason thought it was time to start a band, with a style that he had always wanted. Surf punk rock, with a twist, and a whole bunch of poppyness."I will think about spring in Nippon, climbing up to the skies for my last strike ..."(from the farewell letter of Nobuo Ishibashi the first Kamikaze pilot.)So one day Jason asked a kid in him Biology class to join up with him and work on a new project, that he had been writting. Jason knew little about Mike...but felt like playing again. The two jamed, and with Mike's out of town friend on drums they recorded six songs in Mike's dads basement. (with old shit recorders to)Jason got to sing, something he never did in Number Six. He loved it, but knew he couldn't carry the project alone. He asked Mike to sing to, Mike was shy but agreed. So now the three kids (the drummer was Dave Klien, from San Antino) began to work. Mike had a few songs that seemed to suprise Jason, and Jason had two songs all ready. The bands frist cover was a Fifteen song. They quickly knew they had something. So as that three day span closed, Jason thought about the offer he had give to a close personal friend Tony. Tony Presley was on his own, doing a solo project called Zero Effect. Jason asked Tony, and with nothing more then one simple request Tony joined the band. "Don't make it sound like every other punk band."The three hope to bring in another guitar player to give the music a thicker sound, but for now the three teens are happy creating shitty punk rock, all day long."When Kamikazes joined the arena of war, Reisen become their most often used plane"
