They are a well rounded mix of catchy punk, ska, and even a little emo. The band has just self-released their first CD "Fully Assembled and Ready to Fly". Artist History The Indecisives began when saxophonist Pete Yoo and guitarist Tom Cooke were introduced through a mutual friend. They soon began writing and practicing their original songs while gradually adding friends to fill in the roles of the band. The band started out just like any other band that wanted to hit the top fast. Playing shows, flyering the hell out of them, and begging people to come were all part of the plan. Over the first 2 years or so, the band played countless shows and as soon as the funds were in, put out two tapes. Over that time, the band began to develop their performance, songwriting, and fan base. Skanking while playing, full splits, and punk-rock-jumps were all part of an Indecisives show. Another tactic that helped the band make a name for themselves were prize giveaways. Toys and merchandise were given by the band to the best dancer. In May of 1999, the band headed to the recording studio. The plan was to record the first album. "Fully Assembled and Ready to Fly" was released by the band in July 1999. Since then, the band has been working on getting the album out to anyone who wants to hear and continuing to set up and play as many shows as possible. The band's unique style draws from the many different influences of each member. Bands such as Weezer, The Impossibles, Spring Heeled Jack, and Animal Chin all add to the mix. Although the Indecisives draw from other bands for influence, the different musical training of each member enables the band to use their influences to create their own blend of ska rock with emo, and punk leanings.
