Music Style Aggressive Hardcore Punk

Artist History Silence Wields No Beauty has been rockin’ crowds speechless since their first show several years ago. Hailing from the Philadelphia Area, the band gathered an extensive following in both Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey during their first few years. With the relocation of one of the members to the Central Pennsylvania Area two years ago, the band did not give up or call it quits. Instead, they took the opportunity to bring their unique brand of intense hardcore punk to an entirely new audience on a regular basis. After several shows and lots of record sales, Silence Wields No Beauty found itself headlining shows in their hometown as well as in new cities throughout the state and beyond on a regular basis. Within the past few weeks, Silence wields no beauty has toured the Mid West and performed numerous local area shows. The band has an EP out on No Shelter Records that gets some airplay on major Philly Radio stations like 94.1 WYSP. It is available at shows, online, and through most major independent distros. You can also find Silence wields no beauty on various compilations throughout the United States. The band is currently in the studio working on new material set for release later this year. With a live show that simply rocks (and usually ends with all of them bleeding on their instruments), it comes as no surprise that Silence Wields No Beauty is always asked to return to wherever they play.

Press Reviews Review by Heart Attack (Ebullition Recs): The cover of the CD and lyric sheet have pictures of war, so I was expecting some crazy anarcho/crust band on the CD, but was surprised to find some good music played in the emotive hc style. the music for the most part is pretty catchy and original, and reminds me of jawbreaker at times with harsh vocals. I can imagine kids dancing and falling down and beating their chests at a show. I'd go see this band live. -AM
