Artist History Ominous were formed in October 98 by Mark Carroll and Tony Wickham. Since then they have produced 2 cds, ' Dark Light ' ( down tempo , dirty beats ) ' 33rd degree ' ( beatless , super-spacious , ambience ) They have remixed tunes by' Amampondo ' and ' Lu Lu Lungwiswa ' for Melt 2000 and produced an acid-breakbeat ep for Dj Diamondfinger ' The Funky Lizard ' Ominous are currently working on a new album in a similar vein to ' Dark Light ' The Ominous soundsystem ( in conjunction with Blue room Loudspeakers ) is currently in residence at ' The Warp ' ( The Drome, London Bridge ) where they Dj and perform a PA. Mark Carroll wrote and programmed the tunes for the Techno Thrash band ' Mutagen ' who were a regular act at ' Club Dog ' and ' Mega Dog ' events , as well as numerous festivals. Mutagen also made a name for itself on the free party scene. He also works with video and has prodouced short films for ' Undercurrents ' and ' Channel 4 ' Tony Wickham aka ' Dj Tone Def ' has played sets at Glastonbury , Tribal Gathering and Womad, He has a residency at ' Back Room Sleaze ' in Brighton. He has just finished compiling a Drum and Bass Double cd ' Fully Charged ' for Electric Melt, featuring a mix Cd by Ominous.He has also produced a collaberation album between ' Pops Mohamed ' and ' The London Sound Collective ' to be released next year by Electric Melt
