Artist description We are a group of people in Melbourne, Australia, with an interest in Scottish fiddle music. The members range in age from 10 to 70. We meet and perform regularly. For anyone living in the Melbourne area who might be interested in joining the club, we meet on the second Sunday of each month at St Aidan's Uniting Church, Duggan Street, North Balwyn. The meetings start at 2.00 PM and finish around 5.00.

Musical Influences Alasdair Fraser, Chris Duncan, Boston Scottish Fiddle Club

Artist History The club formed several years ago when its musical director, Judy Turner, returned from Boston to Melbourne from Boston. While she had been living in Boston she played with the Boston Scottish Fiddle Club and was keen to continue the experience. Since then the club has got to the point that we have a regular core of active members, a healthy influx of new members and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We recorded our first CD in June 1999.
