Artist History
Anvil Chorus is a three man, Cleveland-based alternative band. A few years back, drummer and lyricist Joe Reising teamed up with keyboardist and lyricist Mike Discenzo to form a keys-based musical alternative. Soon after, the duo added and subtracted a few guitar and bass hopefuls, and ultimately decided to become a three piece. The talented Geo Jones joined the band on bass, rounding out the eclectic line-up. Anvil Chorus' sound has been described as "Gothic Pop" and "...finally something truly different." In addition, their recent release has begun to turn heads in the industry. Among their many positive attributes is their strong stage presence, and their ability to successfully meld different musical styles. With hard-hitting tracks like "Desperate", "Blind", and "Tony Edwards", one wonders why music such as this hasn't surfaced sooner. Recently, the band has progressed in other directions as well. From the Grohl-esque thrashings of Joe, to the melodic vocal insanity of Miked, to the intricate pluckings of Geo, the whole experience is stimulating to both the eyes and ears. It is definitely worth anyone's time to see for themselves this "modern wonder" of musical entertainment. |
