Artist History Safir picked up a clarinet at the age of 8, and autoharp at 10, and a guitar at 12. Since then, there hasn't been an instrument he wasn't curious about. Safir made music his lifelong goal and went on to build Track Record Studios in Los Angeles, where he produced or engineered for Canned Heat, The Association, Brian Wilson, Lauren Wood, Michael Stearns, and many others.
