Artist History
On the last day of the sixties Markus Hohenwald was born in Lübeck, Germany. In his early years he used a bit of his freetime to learn piano. But very soon this became to uninteresting for him. A few years went by until he came back to music. In the middle of the eighties when the first powerful home computers hit the market, Markus Hohenwald discovered the fantastic possibilities of home recording. He gathered his first experiences with an Atari ST, C-Lab Creator and a CASIO CZ-2300S synthesizer. Over the years various music hardware and computer software constellations followed. Today Pyrodice works with a PC system, Logic Audio, SBLive and a Roland XP-80. In the course of time a large amount of music titles developed that were influenced from the various styles of music but were also independent. Pyrodice never committed himself to any music style. Some titles go along the lines of Dance, Trance and Techno others more along the line of film music and experimental. |

Press Reviews
Pyrodice's new age music has a big, expansive and symphonic sound as well as some pretty groovy, danceable beats. Occasionally this one-man electronica band lets loose and pummels the listener with beautiful, rich and highly textured Trance. - Will L. www.listen.com |
