Artist History
In 1984 this NJ garage band trio started out as Maximum America adding their crazed keyboard player a few years later. In 1993 the band took its current name, Our Savage Garden, from the Anne Rice novel The Vampire Lestat, and since complimented their sound by adding their amazing bear-suit wearing 2nd guitarist. Over the years they played with numerous big names such as Faith no More, The Ramones, Billy Idol, Vernon Reid's Living Color, Joan Jett, Wall of Voodoo, and Cowboy Junkies - just to name a few BUT they never lose touch with their fans. They play for fun and it shows. "These guys are the premier home-grown band in the NYC area." Matt Pinfield, WRSU demigod, former MTV's Host of "120 Minutes", & host of TV's "Garageband.com" |

Press Reviews
Our Marvelous Lives "is your favorite local New Jersey band, period. They came of age in the period when punk and indie weren't antithetical, when you could be angry and sensitive simultaneously, when keyboards were acceptable rock 'n' roll fare. Fun, energetic, straight-forward rock with a familiar -- but not dull -- edge." listen.com Our Marvelous Lives "is one of the most creative rock talents to hit the Spiral Lounge stage. We have given you this group's concerts several times and will continue as long as they bless our stage." OnLine TV "Best Band of the Year" - WindowsMedia.com |
