Artist History
In 1998, Matyas Pribojszki, the founder, leader and harmonica player of the current and widely popular BLUES FOOLS band, also founded a group called MATTHIS. The new effort, on released solo CD ("Dance of Angels") featuring Matyas Pribojszki on harmonica, is a collaboration between himself and longtime friend Levente Gulyas. The realization of an earlier dream, the "Matthis" group provides a new platform from which Matyas can further demonstrate and continue to explore the widely variable potentials of his chosen instrument, the harmonica, in a completely new and exciting expression. The hope of the "Matthis" group, in this new release, is to realize and further popularize the music of the harmonica demonstrated at a highlevel within the genre of songs for easy listening. Although Matyas remains a 'true bluesman' deep within his heart and soul, his work within the "Matthis" group will demonstrate once again his own ideals and complete committment to the soulful experience of musical exploration. Like many arists such as Miles Davis, Charlie Musselwhite and William Clarke, to name a few, Matyas Pribojszki also chooses to continue to growby ceaselessly continuing to explore new means of expression for himself within the vast and ever wonderful context of musical expression. Matyas, in association with his own West-Coast Jump blues band, the "Blues Fools", continues working towards the goals already established by that group, as well. |
