Artist description
You have entered a world where fear and anger are transformed into a vehicle of cleansing and rebirth, a world where it is ok to lay down your armor and speak your mind. This is where a collective voice screams out. This is the downpore. This is the world we share.
downpore consists of Brian Albano on vocals, Casey Mahoney on guitar, Bryan Lazerus on guitar, John Dotzler on Bass, and Mike Iovino on drums. Each one represents an awakening from the slumber that lies outside every window. Each member has had to struggle to find his voice. It is within these struggles that the message lies, the message of survival, a promise that no challenge is insurmountable!! A promise that if you never give up or give in, you will get where you want to be. Through their message, downpore has connected with a mass of people who burn to be something more than a silent generation. They believe in the downpore of emotions that flow from the stage to their very soul. Those who have accepted the message know the challenge. They know that to stand in the middle of a downpore is to stand up for themselves!!

Press Reviews
downpore has received feature articles in "The Queens Courier" and "The Queens Leader Observer." Here's what they're saying: "downpore demonstrates a pure sound, completely original, with songs people can relate to.....they left the crowds which packed The Lion's Den in the west Village no choice but to get soaked.....many of whom donned bumper stickers on various body parts.....downpore's stage presence is intense, physically generating the fervor and frustrationtranscending the music. -Katrina M. Colon of "The Queens Leader Observer" The confusion, frustration, and struggle for meaning of four working class boys from Queens is sounding out in a heavy rock band drenched in a desire to further their art.....It's a downpore of human emotion, the music becomes more intense at the chorus and crowds throughout Manhattan grow wilder as the more intense images and musicapproaches. It's as if they're saying "give us the downpour." -Tamara Hartman of "The Queens Courier" |
