Artist History HAVE YOU HEARD US? In the spirit of MP3, DAYNE (which incidentally stands for "Do As You're Not Expected,") is considered today as one of the "Greatest Unknown Rock Bands of the Last Decade." Afflicted with small bank accounts and time consuming day jobs, founding DAYNE members lead singer Chris Marsh and guitarist Steve Solomon have recorded 7 studio albums over a span of the last 14 years. Brought up on Black Sabbath, KISS, Aerosmith, and yes even glam metal, Marsh and Solomon formed a Steven Tyler/Joe Perry songwriting union that has yielded some of the hardest rocking music that very few people outside the DAYNE Army have ever heard. DAYNE'S band history is full of ex-drummers, ex-guitarist, ex-girlfriends, $11 a night bar gigs, poor covers of great metal anthems, backstage sex or lack there of, radio hits, "Battle-O-Bands" fiascos, breakups and breakdowns. You name it DAYNE tried it, and they still have yet to make their mark on the music world. "Yet" is the key word though! That's where you all come in. DAYNE may rule "Anonymityville" their own little alternative universe, where they strut the streets like rock stars supreme, but it's the Real World's turn to bang their head to DAYNE'S essential recordings and sonic ideas.
