Artist History
ƒaux pas was formed in 1986 in an attempt to create an epic musical masterpiece depicting the end of the Universe through a well know physics concept known as the "Heat Death of the Universe". The result was a masterpiece allright, a master piece-of-sh*t.But, we had so much fun recording it, we decided to continue the project, never taking ourselves too seriously. Our music transcends form and function and turns into a parody of itself. As Nigel Tuffnel of Spinal Tap once said, "There is a fine line between clever and stupid" and we manage to cross this line repeatedly in every one of our songs. It's been a while since all band members have been together, in fact Dan "The Man" has been missing for several years now (If you're out there, write us e-mail!) Now, through the magic of MP3 the ORIGINAL ƒaux pas is available for your listening pleasure. The future of ƒaux pas is uncertain, but with today's electronic gadgets and internet capabilities, a comeback reunion just may be possible! Hopefully my 15 years of playing experience will sound better than the 15 days found on these recordings.Andy "Drew" Murray - Nov 1999 |
