Artist History
The band, originally a two-piece, was created back in early 1999 as an industrial-metal recording project going along the lines of bands such as Nine Inch Nails and Gravity Kills. We made our debut to the world here on mp3.com in late '99, releasing the (rushed) 'teaser' track "Prelude To Nothing", an insane mix of live and sampled sounds, to see what kind of interest the public had in the band. In early 2000, we followed this release up with the track "Spiral", a dark angry song creating feelings of depression and anxiety at the helplessness of a 'roundabout' situation. Owing to the break up of another band we were involved with, we decided to complete the line up and turn Suicide Smile from a small recording project into a fully-fledged band. Now with several gigs to go, and a rapidly expanding fanbase, the band is finally on the upward path. |
