Artist description
Jesse Albert is a singer/songwriter who's music combines folk and country melodies with intriguing lyrics and memorable hooks. His unusual voice highlights his work. Originally signed by Biograph records in the 1970's, Jesse left the world of entertainment behind in order to continue his work with deaf children. His arrangement with his manager and founder of Biograph, Arnie Caplin was "whenever you are ready to start hitting the clubs and coffe houses we will get more serious". Jesse was reluctant to leave his career as well as a steady income for the insecure music industry. Now that he has completed his journey into the world of the deaf, Jesse has returned to his second love, music. The songs on his album "Passing By The Accident" represent a variety of musical genre's and stages in Jesse's life. While telling a deep and personal story, they bring the listener on a journey through the experiences and problems that touch us all. His lyrics and melodies range from the whimsically funny put down of a Catholic school education "A Mystery" to the sensitive and beautiful "All My Children". All of the songs on the album were recorded in Jesse's basement studio in upstate NY with the exception of a 4 songs recorded in Erie PA under the direction of friend, musician and former partner T.C. Smith. More information about Jesse is currently being compiled along with all of the lyrics at www.jessealbert.net. Enjoy the music! |
