Artist History
The Heaters have also won the 1999 Triangle Blues Society competition in Raleigh, NC, enabling the band to perform at the prestigious Bull Durham Blues Festival on September 10, 1999 with Robert Cray, Shemekia Copeland, and Eric Bibb. They will also represent The Triangle Blues Society at the International Blues Competition in Memphis, Tennessee on January 20-23, 2000. Bassist and group label head Tip Iuliucci was also instrumental in establishing The Sandhills Blues Society in their hometown, as an effort to further their mission of blues. The band's consistent drawing power and sales record has attracted a sponsorship from Up & Coming Magazine and a harmonica endorsement for Greg Mitchell from industry leader Hohner Harmonicas. The band has proven they can stand the tests of time, liquor, and lovin'. Critics are already calling this the best Heaters ever.
