Artist History The Girl Pool formed in 1996 out of the ashes of a darkwave punk band and an ethereal band...early intentions were to pay homage to an obsessive love for the likes of Gary Numan which resulted in an early cover of "Cars"..however the band continued to hone there songwriting skills to a fine point becoming a fixture on the nascent Atlanta Darkwave scene by 1997 and playing shows both locally and regionally...The group both added and lost members before going on hiatus in 1997 but are now back with a recently finished CD comprising most of their material to date and plans to return to the live circuit to promote it...their self-titled album will soon be available through MP3.com and other scene oriented distribution outlets..
