Artist description Shard6 is me, Matt Long. I make electronic music (mostly trance and variations of it).

Music Style Trance. Most times I come up with melodic trance, but you never know.

Artist History I first started listening to electronic music back when MTV had a show called "Amp" on every weekend. Amp was an hour or so long, and it was just a bunch of electronic music videos. I got interested, and started listening to more and more electronica. When I decided I wanted to actually make this type of music, all I could find were annoying little MIDI programs... nothing like I wanted. I came closer when I tried out Mixman Studio (a fairly decent mixing/sampling application), however it was a demo, and it didn't give me quite what I wanted. Finally, I heard about FruityLoops. I tried the demo, loved it, and bought the advanced license so I could have it's full capabilities. I had been experimenting with Cool Edit 96, but when the Pro version came out, I knew I had to have it. So, in the end, here I am... finally content with what I am making.
