Artist description Pigsaw Janet’s neurotic pop show somehow fuses pop, punk, rock, y’alternative, and some neat Latin grooves into one very distinctive package. This band’s refreshing tendency to experiment can lead to a variety of oddities that borrow from such early experimental Einsteins as Frank Zappa, as well as the contemporary theatrics of more current misanthropes such as Ween. Pigsaw Janet’s consistently crooked rhythms and bone jarring breaks entice and tease the listener while at the same time revealing some quality musicianship. At the heart of the bands subversive, but catchy sound, lays the group’s youthful and inquisitive lyrics. Absurdly hilarious and socially aware, the group's hummable vocal lines ring of classic geek rock stars such as They Might Be Giants to Dead Milkmen.
