The church was a source of singing enjoyment for James and later became the catalyst by which he pursued the study of the piano. Realizing his talent, he pursued music through High School appearing in numerous stage performances and variety shows. It became evident at that time that James Marquis had a gift to combine words and music to create meaningful compositions.With the onset of personal computers in school, James Marquis found a strong interest in this area and embraced the potential of this technology. His interest in computers combined with his great love of music formed a solid basis for enhancing his ability to create and produce songs as a sole entity. Music has always been a dominating force in James Marquis’ life. This is exemplified in both his strong vocal abilities, his dynamic keyboard interpretations and insightful compositions.
