Artist description
DotSPF is the handle for computer musician Andy Bellenie, who blends a wide variety of musical genres into his own distinctly unique sounding tracks. He has achieved wide recognition and respect from the underground digimusic community for his originality, wide scope of compositions and the powerful emotional content of his music. From the melodic ambience of "Dreaming Louise," through to his crashing drama of his piano solo "Alien's Toccata," the music of DotSPF will stay in your mind for a long time after the track has finished. |

Artist History
"I started to experiment on the piano when I was 13, and moved into computer based music 2 years later using tracking software. I'm constantly learning new techniques to further improve both the composition and sound quality of my music. My highest point so far was my recent nomination for the Artist of the Year award on computer music website www.traxinspace.com." |

Press Reviews
"DotSPF has become one of the first post-Moby programmers, re-orienting his electronic production chops in service of finely crafted, atmospheric tunes that blend more traditional songwriting with 21st century technical gloss. A female guest vocalist turns in compellingly dreamy performances that complement his new sound, while the Fairy himself has a pleasantly naff vocal quality reminiscent of the early '90s British shoegazers. In this musical arena the line between authenticity and imitation becomes fine indeed, but even if dotSPF ends up sounding more like OMD than like Dylan, his prime creations are classically melodious and graceful," Jeff K, Listen.com. "The great potential of this outstanding musician is the way he puts romance and emotion into his works - I sometimes feel a part of this musician through his tracks. This love that he has for music, and his infinite skills, makes him without doubt an inspiration source," Space Walk, Traxinspace.com |
