    Artist History
Well, from the ruins of the miserable failure of Like Linus, rose two Gods of the Glenbrook South music scene, Vito Pascola, and Lee "jewbie" Hillman. With the addition of Lee's life partner, and lover in a pinch, Jon Sayad, Pass the Cola was complete. First jamming in the basement of 3615 Mapleleaf Drive, the chemistry was something only found in dreams. Not to mention, the sexual tension betwixt this trio. We could see there was magic in the air. With Lee pounding the skins, and Jon's bass in your face, Vito was free to solo till his fingers bled. Playing mostly jams, we like to play it hard, but aren't afraid to stop and cuddle midsong. Although Vito's main mission in life is to mooch pretty much anything he can, he plays a pretty mean guitar on the side. Lee's judaism gives us strength to prevail through even the most stale matzah. However, Jon is really the fuel that fires this band. Probably becauase his fridge usually has the most food in it. Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks in the upscale suburb of Glenview, Vito turned to the guitar to pull him through his days. He taught himself to make his six string sing, and by the time he hit high school, had quite the reputation, as a guitar slinging, blues machine. Jon and Lee however were a different story. They have lived at their next door residences for as long as they can remember. Their music history tracks back to Maple Junior High School. Us rich folk on the north side of town were lucky enough to study under Mr. Jay. After learning the basics and just a little bit extra, Lee and Jon entered high school not knowing that their afro-headed counterpart lay dormant within the sophomore class (see picture). Lee and Jon held steadfast to band, and to this day, participate with optimistic attitudes. The encounter...It was a bright, sunny day in the morn when Lee is helping carry his drumset into the orchestra room sophomore year. It is at this precise time that Vito confronts the group, asking quite nonchalantly if there is a percussionist interested in a proposition. Lee reluctantly gives Vito his information. Later that day during lunch, Vito again approaches Lee because he is not one to lie down on the job. "Hey, you were the drummer from this morning..." Lee, despite his best efforts, begins conversation with Vito, they swap phone numbers, and thus train tracks from opposite sides of the nation had crossed, and a very shaky band called Anderson Council was formed. Long story short, Anderson Council had blown up in Battle of the Bands, and played the opener of Act II in the Glenbrook South Variety Show "Bookends" as Like Linus. The chemistry, however, was not present; instead, the physics were: instruments were thrown, verbalities were articulated, and Vito's hair was cut. The band broke up shortly after. But this was not the end. It was but a new beginning. After losing Sean Diamond to another band, and Ben Weiss and Steve Arko to solo projects, Vito and Lee were left standing in a waiting period unlike any other. But Jon, he was the missing link, thought Vito and Lee. Lee had suggested Jon as the new bass player, and Vito reluctantly agreed...the rest, my friends, is history...
