Artist description
Winter In Alaska is a five piece semi-experimental indie-rock band. Nic Dillon fronts the band as the singer/songwritter. Originally, Nic was a drummer playing in central Illinois indie bands throughout middle-school and high-school. Nic took a break from drums and taught himself guitar about 4 years ago. Shortly before studying in Europe in the Spring of 2002, Nic played a few shows locally and put out a 3 song acoustic solo album.
Following his return to the U.S. in the Fall of 2002 Nic assembled Winter In Alaska. As it stands, this is the bands line up. Nic Dillon plays guitar and sings. Ian Kaufmann, the youngest member of the band, plays guitar. Heather Dillon, Nic's wife (married on May 31st, 2003), plays keyboard and sings. Clint Chapman plays bass, and Chad Parker plays drums and sequencer. Winter In Alaska is currently finishing up their LP and plans to be finished with it by the end of 2003.
