Artist History
Formed in 2001 by Mike Bellefeuille and Neal Munn as the Future Husbands, Sausalito has grown from a joke band to a passion that the band's currently three members share. Still officially billed as the Future Husbands until August 2003, the band is just beginning to find its niche. With the addition of Matt Jeffery on guitar and Jon Gulley on bass in summer 2001, Mike served as the band's vocalist and Neal as its drummer. However, after the summer, it became clear that Matt, due to his geographic distance from the other band members would no longer be able to serve and Neal became the band's guitarist. Mike and Neal composed most of the band's song collectively that first year but did not perform at all for audiences. Finally in the summer of 2002, Mike, Neal and Jon made a few appearances in the Portland-Sebago Lake area of Maine and added Eric Carvill on drums. Jon returned to his new home in Pittsburgh after the summer however and the band recruited a temporary bass player, Jeremy "Jay Trayne" Strain, who contributed to songwriting and performances with the band between January and August of 2003. With Mike and Neal now living in Boston and Eric nearby in Nashua, New Hampshire, Sausalito is continuing to work on its skills as a band and recruiting a new bassist before booking gigs in the Boston area. |
