Artist History Matthew MacCarthy knew he wanted to be a rock star ever since he was 12. After playing guitar for many years, he joined a local band called Pound Foolish and brought them from pop-punk to hard, eerie, progressive rock. After 3 years with Pound Foolish, Matthew MacCarthy (known to Pound Foolish fans as "Milky") left the band in pursuit of broader musical horizons. After many hours locked in his room with a guitar, a keyboard, a microphone, and a computer, Matthew created Dreamnesia, his debut album. After looking through his lyrics, artwork, and image, he became Big Brother, in the fashion of George Orwell's 1984. The rest, comarades, is history.
