Artist History
Prösper was formed in 2001 as the brainchild of Neshiva and Sean. With diverse musical influences that range from the obvious to the obscure, music isn't just a novel idea for them, but a way of life. Based in Old Bridge, New Jersey, Prösper is a fusion of poetic justice and harsh realities. With a look and a sound that is genuinely diverse, songs like "2 Days Late" and "Shockwave", showcase the bands lyrical and musical voyage from ultra pop tragedies to spiritual serenity.
Their combination of musical integrity and a true love for their fans allows them to strive for the right mixture of entertainment and rock and roll in their performances. Each show is its own individual journey for the band and the fans. And never being averse to giving their fans what they want, Prösper continues to end their shows with a fan-favorite and ever-popular rendition of John Denver's "Leaving on a Jet plane" which draws each set to an ending that can only be described as bittersweet.
Their musical identity at times could be characterized with many of today's pop-culture prefixes…indie, emo, power pop, alt, … However when asked to define their genre the boys prefer to keep it simple and just say, "We like to rock." Developing a style that has been both inspired and cultivated in central New Jersey, Prösper continues down the turnpike to create music that spans the spectrum of rock.
