    Artist History
When B@S was in its earliest stages of playing, they were known as the Godmothers. Being only Ooister, Kevin, and Zack, they were known as "the worst band in South Jersey." Then Alec moved up from Florida and decided that he would lie to us all and say he knew how to play the bass. After about a month of sucking, Geoff entered the fray with his angelic voice, tight jeans, and pseudo-anachronistic lyrics. Then in his only stroke of brilliance, he brought in Steager and Grover to play the trumpet and trombone, respectively. Now with six members, the newly christened band called BOXING AT SUNSET was born. It was then time for Ooister and Alec to begin to upgrade the ranks. First was the drumming situation. Due to his douche-bag nature and jackassery, Zack was first on the list to be cast out. With only three drummers left in tow (one, a metal head, and the other, in 2nd Place), the only option was Drew Cougle. But Drew was no ordinary drummer. He lived on the other side of the tracks. When he learned all the songs in just one week, Ooister and Alec knew he was right. It was right after Drew's first show in the band when Geoff decided he couldn't keep up with as cool and popular as they were becoming. So, in what was Ooister's and Alec's initial plan, they began to initiate operation: steal Chris Smith from 2nd Place. Chris Smith was at a camp with his band when Grover approached him in the camp shower the same time Alec text messaged him. With word that Geoff had quit the band, B@S was in need for a guitarist. So Chris decided to pull the two-band deal, making shows and practices with both his bands. After Grover left for college, Boxing at Sunset was in need of a tromboner. Do you find something funny about the word tromboner? So they recruited Andrew Little to help out with the tromboning situation, and it also turned out that he can sing, adding yet another voice to the already-impressive vocal sound. When Steager also felt the requirement to have crazy trumpet harmonies, they allowed Bill Huggins to join the band and blast out mad notes on his smooth trumpet. And then there were three horn players in B@S. Drew Cougle, who can be described as having a slightly offbeat personality, was leaving for college. Heading over 2 hours away to York, PA, for college, Boxing at Sunset would need to replace him. Luckily, Marc Lewis stepped in and helped them out with their drumming situation until a permanent drummer could be secured. Boxing at Sunset produces a sound so voluptuously full, people are surprised how powerful their live attack is. Comprised of the three best bands out of Clarksboro, the result is an unbelievable group of talented musicians that always gives the crowd their money's worth and then some. Rocking out like bastards, and always swearing by Wendy's 99-cent menu, Boxing at Sunset is the hottest thing since Taco Bell‘s fire sauce. They are still recording their as-of-yet untitled demo, so make sure you take a hint from Taking Back Sunday and 'tell all your friends' about them.
