Artist description AS ONE is the husband and wife music ministry of Sam and Wendy Williams. Through inspiring lyrics and music, their aim is to proclaim victory in Christ to the hurt, wounded and those bound by fears and addictions. Their music is a constant reminder that Christ has set us free. Their message serves to bring the body into maturity, liberty and fullness in Christ and ultimately unity and oneness. Through a fusion of gospel, jazz R&B and pop sounds, their music is cutting edge. Their lyrics are real. They deal with real issues and challenges people face as Christians. Their goal is to help people reflect on where they are and point them to Christ, the only solution.

Artist History Growing up in Norfolk Virginia in a musical family, Sam Williams began touring with his brothers in Mass Production (a funk and R&B band on Atlantic Records) in the early 80"s. He joined the group as the drummer and eventually became one of the lead singers. There he began honing his skills as a songwriter and keyboard player. Mass Production moved to Teaneck, New Jersey where Sam met Wendy Stanford, an aspiring singer and songwriter. Wendy, at age 19, toured with West Street Mob, a hip-hop, rap group out of Sugar Hill Records. She also recorded backgrounds for various artists. Both having musical backgrounds, they began writing and recording music together. They married in 1987 and made the greatest decision of their lives. They accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and began using their gifts to promote the gospel in a local church, King of Kings Full Gospel Tabernacle, in Hackensack, New Jersey. There they served on the worship team and choir for 4 years and then transitioned to Christ Church of Montclair, New Jersey. At Christ Church they served in the music ministry for 8 years in the choir, worship team and as songwriters. They also received training and functioned as worship leaders. Currently they live in East Stroudsburg, PA with their 3 children. They attend Light of the World Christian Church in Port Jervis, New York. They serve as worship leaders on the prophetic worship team under the guidance of Pastors Kenneth and Sonja Welch.
