Artist description
Ingredients: Nancy Sirianni (lead vocal/guitar), Jack Hoffmann (lead vocal/guitar), John Collis (percussion/vocals) and Ted Rydzewski (bass/vocals), a band of long-time buds who keep getting themselves into trouble by having way too much fun. Then they go and write songs whose ardent nature gives away the intensity of these four friends and the music that has always brought them together. For singer/songwriters Sirianni & Hoffmann, who had experienced popularity with their Long Island, NY based trio, All Folked Up (of which Rydzewski was a member), and some minor national success with their Big Orange Marble self-released CD, the scoldees represent a coming home, a musical asylum. God knows that's where they all belong. With a large repertoire from many prolific years together, additional songwriting with Collis, and subsequent collaboration with producer John Michel (who joins the band on drums and percussion), Sirianni & Hoffmann have found the perfect environment for their earthy blend of vocals. The sound is an organic fusion of rich harmonies, chunky guitars, fluid bass, with old (and some new) world percussion; an eclectic acoustic style that has been called everything from progressive to pop. |
