Artist History In late 1998 a couple of friends got together & decided to form a band. One with style, diversity & a solid groove. With JAMES TUCKER on six string, JOHN TUCKER on bass & JON D. on drums, they knew they could'nt lose. They set up shop in the loft of the shack they all lived in & began writing & rehearsing ritualistically. It wasn't long before they decided to bring another guitarist on board. With their minds made up, they called up an old friend who happened to have a boyfriend that played in a band. It was actually a band that the Tucker brothers had helped start a few years before. They got in touch with him & had him over a few nights later for a jam. He meshed extremely well with the three & JOE MOTLEY immediately became the next addition to the fledging project. With Joe filling in the hole in the rhythm section, the hardest part was yet to come. Not only finding a vocalist they all agreed on but one who agreed with them as well. They had auditioned a dozen or so people but none of them quite fit the bill. This was frustrating & there were even talks of continuing on as an instrumental group. One day, James was in the market for a new car so he headed down to the car dealership. His "Ernie Ball Strings" struck up a conversation with the salesman about guitars, music, and his band that was in need of a vocalist. After the car deal was over, the salesman asked if he could come by and check out the band sometime. Armed with an open invitation, it took three visits before DAVE MCALISTER spilled the beans about his musical interests & background. Impressed with what he heard, his fourth visit included a mic & a P.A.. That night Dave improvised some lyrics to a few songs that ultimately became the first set list for the band that would be called: SLIMTHEFISHERMAN !!!!!
