Artist description
Smackrabbit is a Santa Rosa legend. This quirky Northern California power-trio broke up in 1992 after a long and glorious carreer (actually a little over a year...but a damn good one). All that remains are a few grainy recordings made with a four-track and cheap microphones. In spite of that, it sounded damn good and the raw energy of the music was captured. The members are Matt Page on guitars and vocals, Drew Duff on bass, and Andy Graham on drums. Andy has since gone a different direction, solo performing and recording World Music (see www.andygraham.net). The CD, 'Shampoo, Rinse, Repeat if Necessary' contains all of the downloads listed here plus 2 more studio songs and 5 more live tracks! Of the live tracks are an insane version of 'Dead' and Andy's spastic drum solo recorded at the Battle of the Bands in 1992. That's 19 tracks of pure Smackrabbit! Hard day at the office? Has the Man got you down? Bad hair day? Well, try a little Smackrabbit! It won't help, but you can be happy knowing that you're helping keep a legend alive.. |
