Artist description
Founded in October 1999 in London, Ontario, the pop/rock combo the SPYES began ripping through the overlooked Canadian indie scene. With the unique sound of tube screaming bass and guitars, inventive chest pounding percussion, and undeniable boyish charm, Shoegazer continues to bring out new ways of reinventing power pop in its true essence. Shoegazer's influences reflect Sloan, The Beatles, Flashings Lights and Foo Fighters. This well blended mixture produces a foot-stomping, head bopping, hand clapping wave that is impossible to resist singing along with.Members include Jay Cahill, Tom Lahay, and Chris Neiles. Versatility is the key to these London lads, since all are masters of musical instruments and play all with ease. |
