Artist History
Inspired by EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon), the first recordings were made in 1994 using a crude microphone, television, and cassette recorder. In 1995 I put together my first website featuring real audio clips of several tracks, including "Transparent" and "Sheep", the latter initially being intended as the soundtrack to a Wal-Mart terrorizing video. In December of 1996 I released the "cycles" demo cassette EP, which received positive reviews on rec.music.industrial and was distributed widely through the Pittsburgh area, leading to my initial contact with Alterculture Records in 1997. In late 1997 plans were made for a CD release originally titled "artifacts" and later changed to "re:cycles". Despite having been recorded in 1996 and 1997, and having brilliantly designed artwork by Bradley Zimmerman, the CD had still not been released by December of 1999. That procrastination, coupled with increasingly unacceptable artistic demands, led to my official disbanding of the project in order to keep the out of date CD from being released. Despite Alterculture's theft of the masters for the "re:cycles" project, many of the tracks still exist in unmixed or cassette form and are presently being remastered for future mp3 and CD release. |

Press Reviews
"Raudive Voices create an engaging album with a Skinny Puppy-esque sound and an experimental approach to industrial. Despite the highly unconventional aspect of the music, there are still songs and melodies to be found amonst the chaos, making the music accessible and adding depth...I look forward to hearing more from Raudive Voices." - Outburn Magazine |
