Artist History
Formed in 1998 as a solo effort by former Ataris guitarist Jasin Thomason, Project Bottlecap has released two full lengths and numerous EPs, comp tracks and demo's.
Over the past three years, the band has released four demos recorded by friends in various basements, attics, and bedrooms. In March of 2002, Project Bottlecap borrowed money from a friend to record and self-release their debut full-length album "Days and Seconds." The release of the album was followed by a short south and west coast tour in support of The Ataris and Breakdance Vietnam.
In early December of 2002, Project Bottlecap took the next step as they signed with the independent label Skeptic Productions. The band is currently preparing songs as they plan to have their debut release on Skeptic out in late Spring of 2003.
Project Bottlecap has managed to make a name for themselves opening for numerous touring acts as they've came through the midwest. They have shared the stage with: The Ataris, Alkaline Trio, Ultimate Fakebook, Pollen, Sugarcult, Digger, Hot Rod Circuit, Thrice, Autopilot Off (Cooter), Pop Unknown, Rufio, The Kicks (Ashtray Babyhead), Brand New, The Exit, Breakdance Vietnam, Over It, Brazil and several others. |

Press Reviews
"Project Bottlecap operate on the Lower-Fi side of the equation, offering hissing EMO/Punk anthems with straining vocals, ThickRock(TM) guitars, and technical drumming. Think Jawbreaker distorting out of a boombox with the volume cranked." - Listen.com
"Indianapolis-based Project Bottlecap may have been the day's best representative of melodic hardcore, set apart thanks to complex arrangements and a deep reservoir of hooks." - David Lindquist, Indianapolis Star - Warped Tour review.
"Indianapolis-based Project Bottlecap may have been the day's best representative of melodic hardcore. Set apart thanks to complex arrangements and a deep reservoir of hooks, Project Bottlecap also boasts a memorable vocalist in rosy-faced, peroxide-blond and singularly named Pat." - Dave Linquist, Indianapolis Star Music Critic (Warped Tour 2002 Review)
