Artist History
Fiff was formed in late 1994 by singer and keyboardist Runar Oli Bjarnason and guitarist Jonas Bjorgvin Antonsson. Gathering a few friends and schoolmates in Jonas's garage, they started writing music as a release for their suppressed sexual energy and creative impulses. Fiff played numerous youth clubs and outdoor venues in late 1994 and early 1995. They played at a rally against racism and xenophobia in Aarhus, Denmark in March 1995. Fiff stood most of its days on the verge of being signed with one of Icelands biggest record companies, but never quite made it. The band became a casual hobby, but kept trying against the odds. After a serious creative depletion and a brass section fiasco, Fiff was finally disbanded in the spring of 1998. |
