Dual formed in '98 & draws upon creative energies of Ellie Chang (vox) & Cris Fehr (musik). With the end of a decade where underground music mutated into a myriad of sub-genres, Dual is a duo that has embraced technology as a means to push the envelope of creativity. Dual was formed the beginning of 1998, and draws upon the creative energies of vocalist Ellie Chang and musician/producer Cris Fehr. Combining acoustic instruments such as guitar and bass with technology have enabled the duo, for all intents and purposes, to remain just that: two creatives who have complete control over the process of composing and performing. Influences range an extensive gamut of both old and new artists, ranging from Brian Eno and Eurythmics to Bjork and Curve. Disconcerned with being labeled as either a guitar band or electronic band, Dual is content on remaining a hybrid duo, preferring to avoid the pitfall of subscribing to one purist form or the other.
