Artist description
BUTTER has been tearing up the NY downtown scene for 4 years now with its' own brand of jazz/funk. The band leader and saxophonist Dave "Mahoney" Mullen has a very distinctive and original sound that blends a long lineage of players into a vital and modern context.Mahoney is also a multi-instrumentalist, playing 2 horns simultaneously (a la Roland Kirk) creating textures and harmonies that push the music to another level altogether. |
