Artist History
"These songs were written while I was travelling, recorded in England, and feature musicians from all over the world," says Curtis Wayne. "I formed a band in the UK called Sugarfoot, and we released an EP, and played clubs in Europe, opening for bands like Goldfinger, Ash, and Honeycrack. We were selected for the BBC Radio One Sound City music festival, where the band caught the attention of reps from Warner Bros., ZTT, East/West-Electric Records, and a couple of others. I had a couple of offers, but the more I learned about their 'standard contracts', the more I realized what a crappy deal it was for artists. That's when I decided I wanted to come back to the U.S. and release my record independently." After spending a year searching for the right musicians, Curtis has found a very talented team to help recreate the energy of the album onstage. "These guys are such great players," says Wayne. "I'm looking forward to recording my next album with them, hopefully due out in early 2002." |

"Delightful... Wayne is a tasty guitarist... but more of a master chef in a kitchen full of talented cooks. And danceable!" -Scott Campbell, Radio 101.1 FM, South Padre Island, TX |
