Artist History Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ingrid Rachel has been singing and performing since the age of five. Although not from a musical family, Ingrid's supportive mother encouraged her to follow her dreams, and Ingrid did just that. A graduate of Cincinnati's prestigious School of Performing Arts (the Midwest equivalent of "Fame"), Ingrid has firmly established herself on the Cincinnati/Columbus music scene. A regular performer at some of the city's most well-known nightclubs and events, she has also added to her resume with her impressive writing skills, collaborating with such artists as 3 From the Soul and Bootsy Collins (together she and Bootsy penned a song for George Clinton). Ingrid's top priority at the moment, however, is exposing and promoting her debut CD, "Talk to Me" - an ecclectic collection of her finest songs from the past 3 years. With help from Cincy producers Troy Tyson and Thomas Graves, Ingrid has authored an extremely sophisticated CD that will appeal to listeners of many different tastes. From the hip-hop-twinged 'Get Down,' to the overtly sexual R. Kelly-esque 'Over and Over,' to the pop ballad stylings of 'Playing With Fire,' "Talk to Me" covers a lot of territory. This CD will inevitably be regarded as an independent classic, and Ingrid will most certainly earn many new fans who will be asking for more.
